The Great Bobgus War was a conflict that occurred some time in mid October, 2023, between the current emperor of the SCLS Nation , Garfunkel the turtle, and his well-known criminal brother, Frederick the bababa. The conflict took place before the founding of Shalangamaland and the SCLS nation, in a small village in eastern Siberia, where Frederick assassinated his brother, Garfunkel, who then led a nomadic group before it settled as a nation.
The assisination caused a massive uproar and a hunt for Frederick, who then went on the run. A day later, Garfunkel was somehow found alive, with his coffin mysteriously emptied. By the time he resurrected, Frederick had already been found and executed. Although Frederick had been long gone, Garfunkel ordered for Frederick to be taken to the town hospital, where he was put on life support and stayed for weeks, before miraculously waking up. Frederick was then held captive there until Shalangamatraz was constructed on a small island just off of Shalangamaland.
Garfunkel's Army
The hunt for Frederick was assigned to be led by Me the knight (Me is his actual name), as Garfunkel already assigned him the role of commander-in-chief of the tribe. Though the army only had 3-4 soldiers at the time (hundreds less than present day), they were ruthless during the investigation, finding Frederick laying in a small ditch deep in the forest in less than 24 hours. Me was awarded the Medal of Honor early into the Shalangamaland government taking shape, and is still the commander-in-chief of the SCLS army.
Lasting Effects of The War
The assasination of Garfunkel created a lasting disdain for Frederick across the nation, directly influencing the building of Shalangamatraz, the most strict and one of the only jails in present day SCLS. It also created a more strict and protective government, not just for Garfunkel but for every SCLS nationer. This event was morbidly a huge net positive in the building of a strong and organized government.
