Garfunkel the turtle is the emperor of the SCLS Nation and the main character in the legacy of bobgus, who essentially tries to lead a society while his brother, Frederick the bababa, is constantly trying to kill him and take his place.
Before founding the SCLS Nation, Garfunkel led a small nomadic tribe that travelled across all across Asia. With the help of a few tribesmen, he turned two small uninhabited islands just off of New Zealand into a bustling community.

Garfunkel was born on October 9th of 2023, right into the role of he leadership he was meant for. This birthday is how the bobgus calendar was made, and why its currently year 2 (Malu Takus) to those living in the SCLS.
Garfunkel is known to have atleast some forms of supernatural powers, like overcoming death . This created the idea of Garfunkelism, the belief that Garfunkel is able to transcend dimensions and manifest things into existence on a timeline. This belief contributed alot to the growth of Garfunkels nomadic following before founding Shalangamaland.
SCLS citizens vastly consider Garfunkel to be the best leader that ever was, and consider the nation to be the best that ever was. The nation that Garfunkel built is arguably more economically successful than any other known island nation.
